The World at a Glance
The world is broken. Rifts have consumed most known civilisation. Iskavell is the last habitable refuge — and also the source of everything that went wrong.
Regions
- Iskavell - The Fractured World — The last refuge. A taiga island in a rift zone, with something imprisoned beneath the ice.
- Argoria — Desert continent. Portals, Fey trade, Genie governance. Indirect hostile relationship to Iskavell's cultures.
- Ulbrion — Arctic tundra. Cold Fey, Lich-Kings, espionage. Ghost cell agents may be active in Iskavell.
- Ikmar — Coastal trade hub. Megafauna, bird-riders, pirates. Source of much of Iskavell's Settler heritage.
- Re'Taris — Dead theocracy. Wererat plague, God-King, cult activity. Primary source of refugees arriving at Iskavell.
The State of the World
Beyond Iskavell, nations have fallen to fire, famine, and rising seas. The Rifts grow stronger the closer one gets to Iskavell. Most who reach the island cannot leave — navigation back is nearly impossible.
The world does not know that the Rifts are a symptom, not a cause. It does not know what is buried beneath Iskavell's ice. Yet.
